Sony Ericsson Xperia Play

Telah banyak rumor seri Xperia yang akan hadir seperti Xperia X12 sang penerus Xperia X10, Xperia Arc Xperia tertipis. Saat ini telah beredar rumor Sony Ericsson akan menambah seri handphone Xperia khusus untuk para gamer dengan meluncurkan Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, dimana Xperia Play ini  akan sangat mirip dengan PSP Go baik dalam hal desain maupun bentuk. Xperia Play memakai layar 3,7 inci TFT touchscreen kapasitif dengan resolusi 854 x 480 piksel.

Xperia Play memakai prosesor 1 GHz dengan 512 MB RAM. Pengolahan grafik didukung oleh GPU 205 Adreno. Xperia Play mengadopsi platform Qualcom MSM8255 serupa Xperia Arc, memakai Android 2,3 Gingerbread OS dengan Custom Interface (UI) yang tampak identik dengan tampilan Xperia Arc.

Selain itu, pada Xperia Play ada menu aplikasi PlayStation Pocket, yang memungkinkan untuk mendownload game eksklusif ke dalam ponsel. Hanya saja, hingga kini layanan ini belum ada dan game-game untuk itu pun belum tersedia. Entah apa rencana Sony Ericsson ke depannya untuk handphone gaming ini, belum diketahui. Termasuk apakah nantinya akan disediakan simulator PS.
